Nargi revealed some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Vanity Fair. She says that when it comes to her diet, a lot of it is due to her good genetics. "I must admit, however, that I am lucky because I have a very fast metabolism," she said. "I have never had to give up anything." "It's important to take control now, because your metabolism peaks in your early 20s and slows itself down at a pace of around 2 percent every decade. According to some experts' calculations, your body burns 200 fewer calories per day at the age of 45 than it did when you were 25. That means that if you didn't change anything about your eating habits or adjust your behavior in the slightest, you'd be gaining upwards of 20 pounds a year!
Nargi tells Vanity Fair that when it comes to working out, she is very mindful of what she does. She says that this approach has helped her greatly. "I learned to be more attentive to my daily well-being to maintain body tone by following a training routine," she explains. "Introducing constant physical activity doesn't just help me physically, it gives me the right energy to better face the days."
Nargi says to Vanity Fair that she likes to target specific body parts when she works out. "I focus daily on training these two parts of the body," she explains. "I always start with a total warm-up of ten minutes, and then move on to more targeted exercises"
Nargi says that she prefers to do workouts that are quick and happen each day, but not too intense. "In the past, I alternated more relaxed periods with moments in which I was killing myself with exercises in the gym," she tells Vanity Fair. "Then I realized that it was much more effective to dedicate even half an hour a day to training. This way, it makes much less effort, you have a more lasting response over time, and the energies are conveyed in the body in a healthier way."
Nargi makes sure to stretch after she does any intense workouts. She posted this reel on Instagram of her go-to stretching routine. In it, she is seen stretching her hip flexors, back, and abs, among others. She captioned the reel, "Try these stretching exercises to improve your post-workout well-being!" "Standing or sitting for long periods of time can take a toll on your muscles. To prevent or reduce stiffness and pain, try simple office stretches throughout the day. Perform these stretches several times throughout the day to help keep your muscles from feeling sore and tight," says the Mayo Clinic:
"Start by stretching the back of your shoulder:
- Place one hand under your elbow.
- Lift your elbow and stretch it across your chest. Don't rotate your body as you stretch.
- Hold the stretch for 30 seconds. You'll feel tension in the back of your shoulder.
- Relax and slowly return to the starting position.
- Repeat the stretch with the other arm."
