Singer-songwriter Josh Pfeiffer recently released the music video for ‘One More Time,” a touching song about the permanence of love.

Produced by Pfeiffer and David Schram, and mixed by Adam Munoz, the song features the talents of Kevin Jachetta (piano, backup vocals), David Hawkes (drums), David Schram (bass, ukulele), Shawn Tubbs (guitar), along with Hannah Pfeiffer and Tara Pfeiffer (backing vocals).

Pfeiffer first made waves with his jazz album, American Crooner Act:1, a collection of Big Band standards and original songs. He released “Life” in 2016, dedicating the music video to his parents. “Life” hit the Top 10 on iTunes’ UK chart, claiming the sixth spot, and remained in the Top 40 for weeks.

Late last year, Pfeiffer followed with “Brand New Shoes,” which went viral almost overnight.  Written and co-produced by Schram, “Brand New Shoes” accumulated more than 1.5 million views on YouTube.

Known for his philanthropic work, Pfeiffer donated his time and talents to the American Cancer Society, Habitat For Humanity, and the American Red Cross, performing at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, CA, as well as donating six months of proceeds from the re-release of “Life” to victims of wildfires in Northern California.

“One More Time” opens on an elegant piano, followed by Pfeiffer’s silky, mellow voice. As the bass and drums enter, a guitar adds sparkling accents. A drawling bottle-neck guitar infuses the tune with nostalgia and melancholic colors, as the creamy melody flows on the alt-pop country-flavored harmonics.

Pfeiffer’s voice, rich with cashmere textures, radiates tantalizing wisps of devout intimacy on lushly tender tones. It’s a voice projecting soft scintillance, susceptibility, and urgent passion.

The video, directed by Alejandro Guimoye, relates the story of imperishable love, as a sailor sets forth on a solo journey, only to perish. Because of their magical connection, his lover, portrayed by Pfeiffer’s wife, Tara, knows he is gone. Yet, love like theirs never dies.

“One More Time” is overwhelmingly moving, evoking a welter of emotions in artful sequence. Pfeiffer’s bewitching gentle voice secures the song’s quixotic allure.
