Lola (Dog)
Kristen Bell used to have a rescue dog named Lola, a Corgi-Chow Chow mix, that she adopted in 2004 and who passed away in 2019. Despite being slow and nicked named “Slowla”, she was a brave and feisty pup. He breavery got her on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015, after she fought off a German-Shepherd-sized coyote that snuck into Bell’s backyard. Lola impressively only got a small scratch from the battle. Make sure to watch the video about it below.
The other day we were sitting non the bed which is kind of towards the back of the house. I heard a squealing and said, ‘That sounds like a dog fight. I hope it’s not one of our dogs’. I open the door to see Lola and a German Shepherd sized coyote in a fist fight on the lawn. Our other dog, Pat, who is completely useless and always writing checks his butt can’t cash, was on the couch with us, as perplexed as we were as to what the sounds were. He’s a dog. He knew.
Kristen Bell, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, 2015Mr. Shakes (Dog)
Kristen Bell adopted Mr. Shakes, a Corgi-Chihuahua mix, soon after she got Lola in 2004 so Lola could have company when Bell wasn’t home. Mr. Shakes was extra lucky, as he was set to be put down the next day. Mr. Shakes was known to shake a lot, so that’s where he got his unique name. Mr. Shakes has since passed away.
Barbara Biscuits (Tiffany) (Dog)
Kristen Bell used to have a rescue dog named Barbara Biscuits, that was previously called Tiffany. Bell adopted the one-eyed pup in 2018 from @thedogcafe_la. But sadly, in 2020, Barbara got sick with Giardia and passed away as a result of the infection. With Barbara being a senior dog, Bell used her as a reason to promote adopting older dogs.
Sadie (Dog)
Sadie was a senior Labrador that Bell rescued from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. When Bell adopted Sadie, she was 12 years old, with Bell’s plan to give Sadie a nice 6 months or so before she expected her to pass away. Sadie ended up living for 5 1/2 happy years with Bell, before passing away in 2011 at the age of 17.
Pat was one of Kristen Bell’s rescue dogs, who has since passed away. Pat is seen here on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which you can watch below.
Foster Dogs (Dog)
Not only does Kristen Bell adopts and doesn’t shop, she also fosters dogs in need. For an example, this is Muppet, a cute pup she fostered in 2017 from the Eastwood Ranch Foundation, which was founded by Clint Eastwood‘s daughter, Alison.
