As a junior and senior at Drake, Brinkmeyer received honourable mention all-Missouri Valley Conference accolades. The team won tournament titles in 1995, 1997, and 1998 under her leadership, as well as MVC regular-season championships in 1997 and 1998. These Drake teams made three NCAA Tournament appearances.
