Tennis star (and one of the highest paid women in sports) Naomi Osaka balanced out her recent US Open loss with a real estate victory. Amid reports that Osaka has been on the hunt for new digs in New York City, it's revealed she recently parted with the sleek, modernist Beverly Hills home she purchased in 2019 for $8.7 million – not bad considering the $6.9 million she paid for it three years ago, and that it's reportedly the first home she ever purchased.

The deal was closed off-market between Osaka and tech mogul Milun Tesovic, who is now the newest owner of the property that Osaka purchased from singer Nick Jonas. Known as the Phineas Residence, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home nestled in the heart of the ritzy Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood dates back to 1965 but it was extensively rebuilt and expanded in 2016. Official marketing materials talked it up like so:

"The Phineas Residence by award winning architectural firm SPACE International and design team Ground Up LA. Come experience the ultimate modern luxury which combines luxe materials and sets the tone for a classic indoor/outdoor modernist feel. Elevated ceilings and clerestory windows allow for an abundance of light throughout the residence. Wide plank flooring is highlighted by sumptuous white oak in the living room. The custom milled interior paneling and cabinetry is crafted of exquisitely grained Machiche wood, as are the exterior fencing, decking and siding. Dark hematite and soft grey honed basaltina stone showcase the entry and the living room fireplace. The Miele kitchen features a wine refrigerator and built-in espresso machine, while the master bath is highlighted by freestanding Agape Spoon tub. A cantilevered floating guest house and terrace surround an infinity pool to create a private courtyard experience."

While Osaka appears to have parted ways with the 90210 district, she does still have at least one real estate root elsewhere in California, after spending a reported $6.3 million on an expansive Tarzana estate sold by Nick Lachey earlier this year.
