Rah Digga Defends Rapper T.Is Hymen Check Of His 18-Year-Old Daughter

Ever since T.I. revealed that he scheduled annual gynecology exams for his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, to ensure her hymen was still intact, the rapper has received an outpouring of negative feedback, even from New York lawmakers.

Ever since T.I. revealed that he scheduled annual gynecology exams for his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, to ensure her hymen was still intact, the rapper has received an outpouring of negative feedback, even from New York lawmakers.

T.I.’s revelation, while the podcast hosts laughed at it, didn’t go over well with the general public. In the aftermath, social media controversy has begun – among Twitter users, especially – regarding the morality of such “purity tests” as well as their misogynistic history.

However, one person who came out in the rapper’s defense was Rah Digga, who, on the 1st of December, tweeted that she was standing in solidarity with the artist. Additionally, in late November, New York legislators proposed a new bill barring such a practice.

According to BET, Rah Digga appeared outraged on her Twitter account, stating it was now not only criminal for parents to discipline their children, but also to “monitor their sex lives.” When users came for Rah Digga, she explained the reasoning for why she stands behind the reality star.

When a user told her that the purity exam was a false way of monitoring a female’s sex life, Rah Digga responded by admitting she had the same thing done for her daughter as well. Digga claimed when she discovered her daughter wasn’t a virgin, she didn’t cast her out of the house or the family, she merely sat her down and asked her about it.

Following her claims, even the World Health Organization came out to state that the practice should be banned because it wasn’t rooted in any kind of legitimate science or medical reasoning. As it was noted above, this all started when T.I. told his story on a podcast in November.

Rah Digga, arguing in the rapper’s defense, stated the outrage would not be similar had a mother admitted to engaging in such a practice. Digga went on to make a series of tweets explaining why she thought raising a child in the future would only become increasingly difficult as the years go by.
