Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis is in the middle of an ugly custody battle with ex Thomas Ravenel, but that didn’t keep her from celebrating Christmas with her two kids, Kensie and Saint. Earlier this week, Dennis posted a series of silly pics of her and the tiny tots, and she added the caption, “Real life #Christmasfamilyphoto #reality.”
Back in October, Dennis filed documents to obtain primary custody of her children after police arrested Ravenel for battery and assault. According to Us Weekly, in the court docs Dennis accused Ravenel of relying on full-time nannies to take care of the kids, and she also accused him of having a personality disorder.

Ravenel immediately filed a counterclaim and denied Dennis’ accusations, adding that his ex was using their kids for Southern Charm storylines. He also claimed that Dennis often left the kids with their grandma so she could go out and party.
After two women came forward earlier this year and accused Ravenel of sexual assault, police arrested the former politician in September, and Bravo announced that he would not be returning for Season 6 of Southern Charm.
One of his accusers also made headlines when she sued Ravenel, Bravo, NBCUniversal, Comcast, and Southern Charm’s production company Haymaker for assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil conspiracy, defamation, and negligence.
As Ravenel faces a number of legal battles, Dennis and the kids have been spending time with her family. Earlier this month, Dennis’ brother Luke married Natalie Verenes, and Saint served as the ring bearer while Kensie was a flower girl.
“Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale,” Dennis wrote alongside two adorable shots of her kids decked out in their wedding clothes.

In one pic, 4-year-old Kensie wore a white dress with a matching coat and a floral garland on her head. And, in the other, 3-year-old Saint rocked a toddler tux. Dennis was a bridesmaid, and she also posted a pic of herself with the bride and groom.
In the caption, Kathryn Dennis wrote that she gained a sister, and welcomed Verenes to the family.
