The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may get dangerously close. There’s the potential for Chance’s bond with Sharon to grow as his marriage to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) crumbles, so let’s talk about this difficult situation.
Chance and Abby’s relationship has been on fragile ground for a while now. Things were rocky when Chance came home from Spain, but Abby has tried to be patient and let her husband find a healthy way forward.
Unfortunately, Chance seems to thrive in detective mode, so getting back to work meant taking that to the extreme. Now Chance is always having to rush off to deal with some cop emergency – often one that could put him in the line of fire.
Chance has been letting his family take a backseat more than Abby would like, which further reinforces her belief that work is his priority.
Of course, Y&R fans can’t forget about Chance feeling obligated to look the other way in the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case and let Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) get away with a cover-up.
All of this has brought major marriage trouble, so now Abby is drifting toward Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and will likely end up betraying Chance. With that in mind, we should consider who Chance might turn to for comfort.
Since Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) needs to recover in a mental health facility, she’s off the table for now. That’s especially true since Chelsea is feeling so close to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and clearly has a story with him instead.
Sharon is a much better option when it comes to who Chance might lean on. There have already been moments when Sharon stepped up for Chance – like when she recommended therapists or even in simpler moments like when she brought him a dessert as a pick-me-up.
Sharon and Chance have also connected over Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death since he closed all her deceased husband’s open cases. That meant a lot to Sharon, who was touched that Chance cared enough to honor Rey in that way.
If Abby betrays Chance, he may go running to Sharon and open up about what he’s dealing with. It could lead to a kiss or something more between Chance and Sharon – at least if that’s how the writers want to take this storyline.
Bottom line, Sharon and Chance could get dangerously close once Abby’s spark with Devon ignites. Do you think Chance and Sharon might cross the line?
