The latest additions to the line up of this year’s MOBO Awards have been announced.
Chart topper Tinie Tempah, who is nominated for Best Male and Best Song, will be taking to the MOBO stage in Glasgow on November 4.
He will be joined by Craig David, who is also nominated for Best Male and Best Song. On returning to the MOBOS, Craig said: “I first performed at the MOBO Awards 16 years ago and walked away with three awards that night. I’m back with new music and it’s only right that I celebrate this by joining MOBO as they celebrate their 21st birthday.”
Unsurprisingly, Laura Mvula will also be performing. The ‘Phenomenal Woman’ is leading this year’s awards with four nominations. She said: “I’m so thrilled to be back in Glasgow performing on the MOBO Awards stage. The MOBOs are one of the few music events that have really championed and supported urban music from Gospel to Grime, so it’s an honour to be taking part once again.”
British electronic music group Clean Bandit will be making their MOBO debut, performing alongside Best Newcomer nominee Anne-Marie. They join the previously announced Chase and Status, with more performers set to be announced leading up to the event.
The nominations for this year’s MOBO Awards were recently unveiled, with Laura Mvula, Kano and Skepta leading the pack.
The MOBO Awards take place at Glasgow’s SSE Arena on November 4, and will be broadcast live on ITV2.
