Travis Scott has serenaded Dave Chappelle in honor of his 50th birthday, which he celebrated at a recent show honoring the legendary comic.
In a video obtained of the moment, Scott can be heard crooning away the signature “Happy Birthday” song all without the use of autotune. The audience also joins in as Scott encourages them to call out louder and louder.

The warm birthday wishes come after Chappelle appeared on Scott’s most recent album Utopiaon the track “Parasail” alongside Yung Lean. The appearance secured the comedian his first-ever Billboard Hot 100 entry after the track debuted at No. 53 in its first week.
Utopia has continued to dominate the Billboard charts, with Chart Data reporting on Monday (August 21) that the album earned “the biggest vinyl sales week for a rap album in Nielsen history,” selling 93,000 copies, breaking its own record in the process.

Additionally, Chart Data also provided updates on the album’s continued success, revealing that it’s enjoying a third week atop of the Billboard 200 chart, selling 185,000 equivalent units this past week, taking its total to 828,000 units sold since release.
In early August, UTOPIA debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with major first-week sales.

According to Billboard, the project moved 496,000 equivalent units, comprised of 243,000 SEA units (330.68 million on-demand streams), a massive 252,000 pure album sales and 1,000 TEA units.
In doing so, the album secured the third biggest week for any album in 2023 and the largest for any Hip Hop release. Its vinyl sales during the first week of its release totaled to 55,000, marking the largest tally for a rap album since tracking began in 1991.
